You’re invited to join us for our 30th year celebration, October 9, 2016, from 1-3 PM. Multipurpose Room; Christ the King Church, RIchland.
It’s hard to imagine, but the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) Tri-Cities has been providing the 19th annotation of the Spiritual Exercises in our area for thirty years!
A SHORT HISTORY
In 1986, Sister Dee Marie Reeder returned from training with the Jesuits, excited about spreading the Exercises in our community. She called twelve people to participate, and directed all of them through the retreat. Some stayed on the second year as directors and more people participated in the Exercises. I was a member of that second year. Since then, we’ve grown and changed and served hundreds of people, helping them learn new ways of prayer, and giving them great tools such as the rules of discernment.
Now, we’d like to celebrate our success and share our joy with those who have been through the Exercises, or those interested in the Exercises. Our 30 year celebration, Reigniting the Spirit, will feature speaker Fr. Dale Tuckerman from Pasco WA. He will share his conversion story and how Ignatian spirituality impacted his life and his vocation. We will also have some prayer and small group discussion.
So come join us. Celebrate the Spiritual Exercises and their effect on the whole area’s spiritual development.
